Description of procedure

For a full (lying) bath with the addition of essential oils is necessary:

  1. Draw water into the tub.
  2. For 200 liters of water, 15 drops are enough. Since essential oils do not dissolve directly in water, before adding them to the bath, they should be stirred in milk, kefir, vegetable oil, honey, alcohol, cream, or mixed with sea salt. Observe the rules for the procedures:

  1. The optimal concentration of aroma oil in the bath is 1 drop per 10 liters of water.
  2. Children and the elderly should take a bath with a smaller concentration (2-3 times).
  3. The first procedures are carried out with minimal dosages - about 4-5 drops of essential oil for a 150-liter bath. Gradually increasing the amount of oil added by 2-3 drops, bring to the dosage prescribed in the recipe. By the end of the course is recommended to gradually reduce the concentration of essential oils (each procedure by 2-3 drops).
  4. If the bath is planned as a relaxing as well as soothing, the water is heated to +37+38 degrees.

  8. Take a bath with aroma oils not immediately after meals, but 1,5-3 hours later. Before the procedure it is recommended to take a hygienic shower and complete cleaning of your body from cosmetics and impurities.
  9. Do not use during the procedure cosmetics such as soap, shampoo or gel, because it will reduce the effectiveness of the bath.
  10. There is no need to rinse after the aroma bath, so that the essential oils continue to affect the skin when the treatment itself is completed. Simply blot your body with a towel or robe. Do not be active after the procedure, better let your body rest a little more, drink tea.
  11. Use natural essential oils for the bath, because only they have a beneficial effect.

Synthetic analogues should be used for scenting your clothes and rooms. You can recognize the natural oil by its high price and dark bottle.

Types

Relaxing .

If you have worked hard physically or actively exercised in the gym, a bath with a combination of peppermint oil with juniper oil, verbena oil with ginger oil, melissa oil with cinnamon oil will help to relax a tired body. Take 1-2 drops of each oil.

Another recipe for a relaxing bath before bedtime includes mixed with milk (500 ml) oils of sandalwood (two drops), mandarin and chamomile (four drops each).

Aromabath

A bath of four drops of verbena oil, two drops of rosemary oil and two drops of tea tree oil can help relieve physical stress after a sports workout. Dissolve these oils in 1 tablespoon of grape seed oil.

Anti-cellulite

Some of the often used essential oils in the fight against cellulite are citrus oils (orange, lemon, grapefruit), which are combined with oils of coniferous plants (cedar, pine, spruce, fir and others).

Basic anti-cellulite baths:

  • For an anti-cellulite bath, pour grapefruit, cypress and orange oils (two drops each) and juniper oil (1 drop) mixed in 100 ml of dry wine into the water.
  • Lemon bath with anti-cellulite effect involves adding lemon (3 drops), juniper (2 drops) and cypress (2 drops) oils.
  • An effective recipe for cellulite is the following citrus bath: Lemon aroma oil (take 3 drops), add grapefruit, tangerine and orange oils (add two drops each). Add all ingredients to the almond seed oil (1 tbsp.).
  • Mix two drops of orange aroma oil (you can replace it with grapefruit oil) with two drops of black pepper aroma oil and three drops of juniper oil.
  • Combinations of essential oils against cellulite are also effective, which are mixtures of oils of lemon, juniper and fennel or geranium, rosemary and cypress. Take 2 or 3 drops of each oil.
  • Make a bath based on sea salt. Take 100 grams of salt and add to it grapefruit oil (4 drops), vetiver, anise and mint oils (all one drop each).

Exciting

If you want to get a boost of energy, to get rid of irritability and tone up, choose the oils of citrus, rosemary, sage and verbena. For a tonic bath it is enough to use only 3-4 drops of any of these oils. Increase efficiency and bathing with the addition of aroma oils of tea tree.

Lavender oil can be combined with rose, sandalwood and frankincense oils. The use of foot baths with lavender oil will eliminate the problem of sweating and odor of the feet.

Orange Oil

This oil, like other citrus aroma oils, is worth using when you want to cheer up. Orange oil is also recommended for those who want to get rid of the appearance of cellulite. Just be careful with the dosage and always dissolve the orange oil in the base (sea salt, milk and other), because if there is too much of this essential oil, there is a risk of skin irritation.

With tea tree oil

This essential oil is a good antiseptic, it resists viruses and fungi, reduces pain, stimulates immunity, gets rid of edema and heals the skin. Its positive effects on the nervous system, hair, and mental activity are also noted.

If you feel that you are about to fall ill, make an aroma bath with this oil, adding 5-7 drops of it to water, pre-mixed them in milk. After lying in water for 10 minutes, rub the body with a towel. Such a bath is also recommended for skin problems, such as eczema or dermatitis.

Tea tree oil can be used for a sitting bath for hemorrhoids. Stir ten drops of the oil in cream (3 tbsp.), and then pour it into 10 liters of water. A foot bath with this aroma oil (take 3-5 drops) is good for swollen feet.

With olive oil

These baths are especially useful in winter, when the skin suffers from dryness. With the help of olive oil added to the bath, you will help the skin regenerate, improve its metabolic processes. For example, for a moisturizing bath you can dissolve 40 ml of olive oil in 1 liter of milk. Pour it into the bathtub, which has a water temperature of +36+38 degrees. Take a bath for 15 minutes and you will notice how much transformed the appearance of your skin after such a procedure.

With eucalyptus

This essential oil has strong antiseptic properties, improves skin condition, soothes the nervous system. Bathing with such oil is recommended for inflammatory skin diseases, ulcers and erosive lesions of the mucous membranes. To do this, dissolve 4-5 drops of oil in 200 grams of sea salt and add to the water.

Eucalyptus oil may be supplemented with sage, peppermint and lavender oils. A mixture of oils of rosemary (3-4 drops) and eucalyptus (6-8 drops) helps to get rid of muscle and joint pain. If you start to get a cold, lie in a bath with 7-8 drops of eucalyptus oil for 15 minutes.
