Toilets with an oblique release

The options of toilet bowls in modern stores of sanitary equipment are plentiful. And in all this variety you need to understand in order to intelligently choose the plumbing for your home. Today we will talk about the toilets with a slanted outlet.

What is it?

Oblique outlet, that is, the element through which the effluent from the bowl is drained into the sewage pipe, can be located at an angle of 30 to 45 degrees with respect to the floor.

Such products are often found in domestic bathrooms, they are actively produced by our manufacturers. This is due to the fact that many typical multi-storey houses are equipped with exactly such a system of diversion, that is, under it ideally suits the toilet bowl of oblique type of release.

Pros

It is noted that the main advantages of such sanitary ware are versatility and reliability. But there are also other advantages:

  • They rarely clog, there is no need for constant cleaning of the system;
  • Impurities easily go into the sewer system because of the weak resistance;
  • When installing, two wheels are used at once, the angle of rotation of which is 45 degrees. This is noticeably more effective than a single elbow at 90 degrees;
  • Ease of installation is also an important advantage. It does not require a clear point for connection. This greatly simplifies the task in case of inaccurate location of the outlet nozzle;
  • Wideness. To find a similar product is not a problem. Therefore, if the old toilet broke, to buy a new one with the same outlet will not have. Therefore, it will not be necessary to change the outlet.

Disadvantages .

But there are certain disadvantages of slanted outlets:

  • If the old toilet has fallen into disrepair, and in its place you took the product with another type of outlet, it may be necessary to fundamentally change the sewage outlet to connect the product;
  • The quality of the corrugation plays an important role. If it is bad, over time there will be cracks and it will cause leaks.

Otherwise, the products have no negative sides.

Features

In an apartment building, the main line is already mounted at the construction stage, because under it the slanted toilet will not always fit. The only solution is the reconstruction. But for many people it is easier to just pick up plumbing with a suitable outlet than to do such a complicated job.

Outlets are mounted at an angle of 45 or 30 degrees. Due to this, it is not difficult to choose the optimal toilet. The versatility of oblique toilets makes them preferable to a number of counterparts, because it is easier to connect them to the typical sewers.

The peculiarities of products of this kind are monoblock or split design.

  1. Separate toilets provide a separate location of the tank and bowl. This makes it possible to vary the installation, to perform different interior tasks, to make the space of the room visually larger. After all, the tank can be mounted into the wall, or fix it at a convenient height. Also, split models give more efficient flushing, because the water moves down at a high speed. In this respect, they are superior to monoblocks.
  1. Monoblock. Its structure is clear from the name. Bowl and toilet bowl form a unit. It is easier to install, plus the product has a modern look. Plus it is easier to take care of it. As for the disadvantages, they include a higher cost, as well as the need for more space. Visually, they do not look as compact as separate.

Is it better to choose with a microlift?

The microlift system is provided on the lid of the toilet bowl. With its help you get a number of advantages:

  • You will not be disturbed by the sound of the falling lid. Going out to the toilet at night, sometimes it is impossible to keep track of it, and it rattles and falls on the bowl. That noise is sure to wake up the family. And if you have a small child, you will not go to sleep;
  • Microlift protects the bowl and the entire toilet bowl from damage. They can form as a result of a sudden fall of the lid;
  • You can avoid cracks, chips, and significantly prolong the life of the product.

Therefore the choice in favor of the microlift is completely justified. This is a modern solution, which will come in handy for a large family with children.

Anti-splash

Even modern plumbing fixtures can not keep you from splashing. This is not the most pleasant phenomenon, so it is advisable to fight with it.

Unfortunately, deception can wait for you already in the store of sanitary ware. A number of manufacturers make cunning marketing steps, focusing a lot of attention on the term antisplash. That is, you can easily buy a toilet bowl, which in fact this system will not be equipped.

Therefore it is advisable to get acquainted with the essence. It consists in the nuances of the geometry of the hole drain. It shifts to some side. This makes the column of water minimal. As a result, splashing is eliminated.

No splashing

Do the outlet and splashing in the toilet have anything to do with it? Absolutely not. In no way does one influence the other. It all depends entirely on the shape of the bowl.

There are three types of shape:

  • With shelves;
  • With slopes;
  • With a funnel shape.

In the case of the latter type, the drain hole is in the center. If the shape is sloped, then the drain is closer to one of the sides. And the shelves are used nowadays very rarely, because they have serious disadvantages. Because of them, they can not impose competition to other types.

Choose the form, guided by your own needs and desires. They are individual, so we can not give specific recommendations in this regard.

Varieties

Toilets, which have an oblique type of release, can differ from each other in several ways.

1. Material. The most popular are porcelain and faience fittings. They are widespread, but are characterized by disadvantages - excessive moisture absorption, due to which the color, texture changes, cracks appear. Analogues are plastic, acrylic models, which should not be cleaned with abrasive brushes in any case. Expensive models are made of stone, metal. Beautiful, but completely impractical.

2. Shape. There are several types:

  • Visor types. Create a minimum of splashing when draining water;
  • Discreet. Do not require a large amount of water for flushing because of the location of the drain spigot;
  • Funnel-shaped. They need care because they create a lot of splashing when flushing.

3. Water supply. Divided into side and bottom. The latter is preferable because it makes less noise when filling the tank.

4. Flushing. There are three variants - constant, controlled or apportioned. Metered flushing allows you to choose how much water goes to flush. Controlled allows you to stop the flush manually. Conserve liquid.

5. Water flow. Can be circular or continuous. Circular flow more effectively washes the bowl, plus it does not lead to splashing. It is better to choose such.

Installing

Perform the installation of an oblique toilet can be done in three ways. About each of them we will tell in detail.

  1. Direct connection to the pipe. The method is relevant if all the connections perfectly match, that is, you do not have to move the plumbing to the side. It is important to correctly calculate the location of the socket. Use a special collar, depending on what the sewage pipe is made of - plastic or cast iron. Lubricate the outlet with soap, put it in the bell, on which the sleeve is installed in advance. Then it remains just to fix the product on the floor.
  1. Using an eccentric. This is the same socket, only slightly off-center and with a gasket installed. You need to rotate the eccentric inside the outlet to move it to the left or right by 5 cm. Similarly it moves up or down. A convenient element that allows you to connect the toilet bowl, even if there are small inconsistencies.
  1. The corrugator. The eccentric gives the possibility to move only a small distance, while the corrugator opens wider horizons. In some cases, corrugators turn the toilet at 90 degrees with respect to the sewer outlet. But this method has a disadvantage - the toilet has to move away from the wall, because it increases the area occupied by the product inside the room. This method refers to the cardinal, when no other option is impossible to connect.

As you can see, slanted outlet has its own advantages, disadvantages and key features. Carefully approach the issue of choice, so that the connection was carried out as simply as possible without excessive time and financial costs.
