Bosch brand washing machines are known for their high quality, reliability, long service life and functionality, but they also occasionally break down. To understand what happened to the machine, it helps to decipher the errors displayed on the equipment display.
Error Codes

Frequent malfunctions
Most often, the owners of washing machines of the Bosch brand turn to service centers for the following reasons:
- The temperature sensor or TEN has failed, as a result of which the machine stopped heating water.
- The drain pump is broken or clogged. This is one of the most common breakdowns of Bosch machines.
- A foreign object has gotten into the drum, the bearings have worn out, or the shock absorber mounts have loosened. All of these causes are manifested by strong vibration and loud noises from the machine during washing.
- The motor or control module has broken, as a result of which the machine does not turn on at all or the drum stops rotating.
- The tachometer has broken, as a result of which the laundry does not spin.

Tips and prevention of breakdowns
- To clean the outside of the machine, you should only use non-abrasive means, which do not contain solvents. Wipe the machine with a slightly damp soft cloth. Do not allow the washing machine to come into contact with large quantities of water.
- Do not use steel nets or products containing chlorine in drum cleaning.
- Clean the detergent hopper on a regular basis. To do this, remove the flask, rinse it under running water using a brush, then wipe it dry and reinsert the tank.
- To prevent breakdowns, it is important to regularly clean such parts of the washing machine as the drain pump, drain hose, as well as the hose filter through which water enters the machine. The steps for cleaning these parts of the machine are described in the instructions for the machine.
