How to turn off the washing machine while washing?
There are situations when it is necessary to urgently cancel the running washing. This can happen for a variety of reasons. For example, you suddenly needed to leave the house, and you do not want to leave the wet things in the drum for a long time. Or you find that you have forgotten an item in the pocket of the washing, whether it is your phone, wallet or car keys. The latter case is especially dangerous, as a foreign object can damage the complex mechanism of the washing machine.

Ways to force the end of washing
- If your washing machine has a "Pause"/Pause button, you can use it to temporarily suspend the washing process. Usually you have to press the button for a few seconds until the machine stops. This method is suitable if you need to interrupt the process, for example to remove unnecessary items from the drum.
- On some models of washing machines there is an opportunity to stop the washing, if you cancel all the preset modes. By returning all the buttons and toggle switches to their original position, you will be able to pause the machine. However, if there is water left in the hatch, you should run the spin or drain program before opening the hatch.

Most modern washing machines "remember" when the power is turned off the moment the washing stopped, and when the power is resumed continue to work from the same place. On older models, an unexpected power outage disrupts the program, so then the washing begins again.
