The breakdowns occurring in washing machines are a common thing. After several years of operation each appliance has its "problem places" - whether it is an electronic module, a motor, a drainage system, etc. It is difficult to foresee the location of the problems in advance: it depends not only on the manufacturer and the specific model, but also on many other factors.
Sometimes by the behavior of the washing machine is difficult to guess which part is out of order, although it is obvious that there is a problem. How to determine the fault by breakage code?
Manufacturers of washing machines have taken care in advance so that we can independently diagnose the most common breakdowns. For this purpose, a system of special codes has been introduced, which the device displays on the display in case of malfunction. Read more about what the most frequent codes mean below.
- Codes F06 and E08 indicate problems with the power supply, and a broken start/start button or that the hatch door is not locked.
- If you see codes E02, E04, IE, E11 and E35 on the display, it means the washing machine is alerting you to problems with the water supply, the water intake or drain system. It may also mean "burnt out" electric brushes or a poorly closed hatch.
- Error code F04 appears in several cases, mainly related to the filling and draining of water. When you see it, you should check the control unit, the heating element, as well as the condition of the drain hose.
- The codes F05, F11, E03, OE, E06, E21, E23, E24 indicate that there is a fault in the drainage system.
- Errors indicated by codes F01, F02, E07, E09, SE, SE, E21, E22, F63, E01, can be seen when the washing machine drum stops rotating. The reason for this may be a malfunction of the motor, heating element or electronic module.
- If you see one of these codes on the display: F03, E05, E06, NOT, E31, E32, E36, E61, E66, E71, it means that the appliance cannot heat the washing water. You should check the heating element, temperature sensor and regulator, as well as the triac (semiconductor device).
- Error UE usually appears on the display when the washer-dryer starts making strange noises during operation. When you see this code, check the bearings, counterweights, springs, tank and drum integrity, as well as the presence of foreign objects inside the appliance.
