On the basis of the materials of which baskets are made, a distinction is made:

Wicker basket models have become very popular today. They are woven mainly from vines, straw or dried seaweed. Baskets made of plastic do not lose their positions in popularity. This is easily explained, firstly, by the fact that they are inexpensive, come in different colors and shapes. Secondly, the fact that plastic baskets are moisture-resistant and can be washed if necessary. Thirdly, they do not weigh heavy, which makes them easy to carry. Their disadvantage is that plastic is a rather fragile material, which shortens the life of the basket. Basically, plastic baskets have a lot of holes, but there are models without ventilation cells. Such options are undesirable in use, because the dirty laundry in a closed space can promote the reproduction of microbes and bacteria, and the laundry itself can be saturated with unpleasant odors.

Baskets made of metal, look quite stylish and fashionable. More suited to the design in the style of "high-tech". Metal baskets have wheels, which makes them easy to move. After all, thanks to the basket it will be even more convenient to use the bathroom. And correctly chosen basket makes the room more comfortable and nice. In addition, laundry baskets are not very expensive. Their cost depends on the materials used for their manufacture, size, manufacturer and their appearance.

In order for the basket to serve you well and for many years, you should pay attention to the following features of the basket when buying it:

• The basket should be sturdy and able to withstand heavy weight. To do this, the materials that were used in the manufacture of this basket should be strong and of high quality.

The laundry basket is not difficult to construct with your own hands. It requires only the desire and assiduity, imagination and the original details.

The easiest way to make a laundry basket is to remake a stationery bucket. In addition to the stationery bucket, which will serve as the base for our basket, we need more glue and thick cord to wrap it around.

So, what you need to do:

• Turn the base upside down and apply a drop of glue around it, keeping a distance of 5 to 10 cm.
• Put the cord to the places with the drops of glue and press down firmly.
• If necessary, apply glue to new areas and thus wrap the bucket completely.
• To get a more original laundry basket, use cords of different colors.

Another way to make a basket consists of wire mesh and fabric. The size and type of fabric can be chosen by yourself, adapting it to your bathroom. To make such a basket you need: washers, screws, wheels, steel galvanized wire mesh, fabric for the inner cover, thick round wooden board.

What you need to do:

• Wrap the wire mesh around the wooden base, leaving 5-7 cm to spare under the base. Use wire cutters to cut off the excess.
• Secure the sides of the wire mesh by bending the edges.
• Bend the lower end of the net under the wooden base.
• Fix the net to the base with screws.
• Fix the wheels to the bottom of the basket.
• The frame of the basket is ready. Sew a fabric cover according to the chosen size of the basket. Put the cover inside the wire basket and you can put it in the bathroom to collect the dirty laundry.
