Hose for a gas stove to connect to the gas

Hose for the gas to the speaker

In Soviet times, the connection of the gas stove to the gas pipeline was subject to more stringent regulations. In them, the only possible option was to connect with a rigid pipe. Gas was brought to the stove with a metal pipe. Corners and elbows were used for bends. And therefore it was impossible to move the stove, even a small wet cleaning was accompanied by difficulties.

These days, due to the emergence of new materials, the use of flexible pipes is allowed. But it is very important to follow all the rules and properly connect the gas.

Use

The gas hose should have a little slack. Therefore, it is necessary to clearly determine the length. The length must be determined based on the conditions of laying. And the distance from the point of connection with the gas pipe to the inlet to the speaker. It is necessary to pay attention to the threads that are placed on this inlet. The tip of the connector must also fit the diameter. If the diameters are different - you need to use a special adapter.

It should be borne in mind that the maximum length of the hose will be 4.5 meters. Strong tension is inadmissible. This can cause deformation and as a consequence will entail the possibility of leakage. A small reserve will allow you to slightly move the stove, in the case of repairs or wet cleaning.

The gas hose is labeled yellow. The water hose is marked red or blue.

Tips for choosing

Here is a small list of pipes that stores offer, to connect the gas appliances. But, remember to use only specialized gas hoses. And in no case use hoses for water.

  • Rubber reinforced hose. Budget option. It has good dielectric properties. True, the disadvantage of such a product is that it is subject to rapid destruction and the appearance of cracks.
  • Rubber hose in a metal braid. Unlike its previous counterpart, it is resistant to mechanical damage. But, thanks to the braid it is impossible to inspect the gas pipe and if it is defective, the place of the leak can not be found. Also the disadvantage will be the lack of dielectric.
  • Metal bellows hose. Sturdy, reliable, able to stretch and hold the desired angle. There are also disadvantages. High price, compared to rubber hoses. There is also no dielectric. But the most significant disadvantage is the possibility of burning through the holes in such wiring. Unless a dielectric insert is installed.

In any case, it is not unreasonable to ask the seller for a recommendation. Based on their experience, they will advise you the best option. Do not buy a product of dubious manufacture. Follow these rules and the installation will go like clockwork.

Gas hoses

Another tip to ensure that the hose has good flow, do not use a hose with a diameter less than 10 mm.
