Sizes of gas boilers

The sizes of gas boilers

In the past, the gas boiler did not look aesthetically pleasing, it took up a lot of space in the kitchen. But today it will help to decorate the kitchen interior, will be an attractive accent in the design of the room. Fashionable modifications with compact size and at an affordable price have already become a reality.

Standard sizes

Manufacturers of gas boilers offer different sizes of this unit, so it is impossible to name a standard size. Each manufacturer produces different models of gas-fired boilers, which differ significantly in size and shape.

To a large extent, the size of the gas-fired unit depends on the technical parameters of the unit, for example, power. The most common size is 700x450x250 mm, so it can be considered a standard. You can also often find gas heaters with dimensions 760x350x250 mm or 655x350x220 mm.

Today, designers suggest that the space around the gas water heater is filled with cabinets. It can be placed between cabinets or built into a cabinet. This choice depends entirely on your wishes.

The optimal solution would be to assemble the cabinet on site, based on the size of the particular gas heater you purchased.

Remember that you do not need to order pre-made furniture for the kitchen, as there is no single standard size gas stove.

The size of small models

Manufacturers of gas columns understand that the unit of small size is more liked by modern buyers, so they try to harmoniously combine power and size.

Small models of gas water heaters are represented by a large model range, among which are often found the following sizes: 550x328x182 mm and 590x340x140 mm.

The device of compact size looks elegant and stylish in any interior design.

Placement between wall cabinets

This technique is the most effective for creating a beautiful interior, in which the gas heater can look harmoniously. The device can be placed between two cabinets or used as a final component of the interior.

Before proceeding to the installation of the heater, you need to think about two things. First you need to determine the main component of the composition, to understand the hanging cabinets or the speaker will be a leading element. Namely:

  • If the kitchen set is already purchased, then its dimensions should be the basis for choosing the size of the speaker.
  • If you are planning the interior design of the kitchen, then you can start with the choice of the gas water heater, and then its size will help to choose the furniture.

In addition to aesthetic moments, in creating the kitchen interior, you should consider the rules of fire safety:

  1. It is necessary to leave free space on each side of the gas water heater. Just three centimeters will be enough to create good conditions for ventilation.
  2. The walls of kitchen cabinets, which are near the column, should be made of non-combustible materials. During operation, the gas heater gradually heats up, which can provoke the ignition of nearby objects. An excellent solution would be additional protection of furniture made of non-combustible material.

Built in cabinet

It is possible to hide the gas water heater from prying eyes in the upper cabinet. This option is used when the device does not fit into the interior and the best solution is to hide the column.

When using this method of placement of the gas column, special attention should be paid to fire safety:

  • The appliance should not touch the walls of the furniture. Free space should be left for good ventilation of the speaker when heated.
  • Hanging cabinet under the column must necessarily have no horizons both top and bottom and back wall. In other words, it will consist only of a door. Although, if necessary, you can add a bottom horizontal to the cabinet design, then it should have several holes for ventilation.
