Gas water heaters with piezorozhigi

Modern gas speakers are divided into types depending on the way they are turned on. One of the common options for ignition of such equipment is a piezor ignition. You can find on sale columns with piezo ignition from Neva, Bosch, Electrolux and many other manufacturers. They are affordable, reliable, and quite easy to use if you know how to turn them on correctly.

How does it work?
Inside the devices with piezo ignition there is an ignition burner, which functions constantly. Its combustion heats the thermocouple responsible for opening the gas electrovalve. As soon as the igniter goes out, the thermocouple cools down and gas stops flowing inside the appliance. To restart the heater the ignition burner must be lit again.
The ignition is performed by the formation of a spark from the piezoelectric element. When the user opens the tap, the igniter ignites the main burner, which starts heating the water in the heat exchanger.

Features of columns with piezo ignition
- Because of the constant burning of the wick, such devices spend a little more gas than devices with automatic ignition.
- Safety of the speaker is controlled by a thermocouple, which fixes the presence of the flame. If the flame goes out, gas will not flow into the equipment.
- The cost of such speakers is slightly lower than models with an electric ignition.

How to turn on the speaker with piezo ignition?
The first turn on of the speaker of this type should be done manually by pressing two buttons - the first is responsible for the flow of gas, and the second is represented by the piezo element. Clamp the button to start the gas should be until the wick will not burn without your effort (about 15-30 seconds). During this time the thermocouple will heat up and begin to produce current, holding the gas valve open.
You can then release the button and open the hot water faucet. You will notice through the sight-glass that the main burner will light up. When the tap is closed, the flame of the main burner goes out and only the igniter remains on. If you turn it off, you have to press the piezo ignition and gas buttons again to reignite it.
