What to clean the shower - the correct and effective products

So you are the proud owner of a shower enclosure. What are the best ways to keep it looking good and how do you keep it looking good for as long as possible?
Types of care
To ensure that your shower enclosure pleases you with its cleanliness, disinfect it more often. Careful use is already a guarantee of longevity.
Usually manufacturers complete cabins with a large set of elements made of different materials. They are not difficult to take care of.
It is better to prevent problems immediately. Routine maintenance does not take much time.
When all the water procedures are finished, rinse off the rest of the hygiene products. After the procedure, wipe the doors and sides dry, keep the stall open. Make it a habit. That way harmful fungus and mold will not grow.

General cleaning should be done at least once in two weeks. Although it depends on how often you use it. Do not bring the cabin to the appearance of hard to remove lime deposits. They will be quite difficult to remove.
Many shower manufacturers recommend their specialized products for constant care, as well as compositions with water-repellent effect.
Aerosols are the most popular. They are easy enough to apply to surfaces and after some time simply rinse off with water. If you have to clean while standing in a closed cabin, sprayers should not be used to avoid vapor poisoning. Foams, gels and creams are distributed manually, in this case and should be used.
Keep in mind that different household chemicals perform different functions, some are only suitable for maintaining cleanliness.
Buy several types of cleaning products for surfaces made of different materials, but never mix them.
Follow dilution recommendations. Do not exceed the specified exposure time. And immediately after cleaning, rinse with plenty of water, completely removing any residue. Again, don't forget to collect all the water with a cloth.

Washing Glass
Glass shower enclosures lose their shine over time. Premature contamination of them can be avoided. Therefore, after each shower, use a rubber or polyurethane scraper to drain off the water. Such devices adhere tightly to the surface and effectively remove dirt. But soap scum and stains can still be present. Special aerosols can help bring back the transparency of glass parts. They contain alcohol or ammonia and leave almost no streaks. But they can cause allergies.

Doors made of frosted glass get dirty less. Stains and stains on it will be almost invisible.
Acrylic
The vast majority of shower enclosure models consist of acrylic. It is mainly the trays and the wall, in which the whirlpool or shower unit is built in.
Acrylic is a fairly cheap material, and in terms of sanitation is almost perfect. It is easy to take care of. It cleans up quite well with a soft sponge and soap. For heavy soiling, use cleaning products in the form of sprays. To prevent scratches, don't rub too hard.
However, there are special products for this material. Wax polishes prevent dirt from settling and create a water repellent effect. But apply them only with a soft cloth or sponge.
If damage or abrasions have somehow appeared on the acrylic, use special kits. They will restore and polish the surfaces, as well as fill in the defects.

Metal
In the manufacture of shower cabins you can not do without metal, it is more durable in contrast to plastics. This material is used in the manufacture of cabin frames, trays, faucets and hoses. The surface can be either chrome-plated or anodized. Such materials tarnish over time. This is caused by water containing various impurities. It is from them that limescale and scale appears.
Experts advise installing filters based on ionic resins to soften the water. This will reduce unwanted "formations".
It's easy to clean if you do it regularly. You can make metal shine with special products. To do this, you need to apply them and keep them for a certain period of time. Then rinse thoroughly and wipe with a soft cloth. Always adhere strictly to the instructions on the packages of household chemicals. Otherwise, the metal will not only not clean, but will lose its shine forever.

Products not to be used
Remember: it is strictly forbidden to use abrasive detergents, as well as hard brushes, metal sponges and microfiber. They are harmful to all the surfaces discussed above. Even if a chemical product package says it's "universal," it's best to leave it on the store shelf.
All powders and pastes scratch glass as well as metal and plastic. Of course, the small particles in their composition will cope with plaque and dirt, but with regular cleaning, the surfaces will become rough.
Over time, dirt will accumulate more and more in the scratches. It will become harder to remove with each cleaning. Clearly, this will permanently ruin the appearance of the shower enclosure.
Household chemicals that include ammonia, all kinds of acids and alkalis are not suitable for acrylic. Cleaners with dye pigments and organic solvents can not be used for cleaning.
Metal, in turn, "fears" means containing hydrochloric, formic, phosphoric or acetic acid. Do not use products that contain bleach lye with active chlorine, after they can stay stains.
We do not buy cheap equipment and we want to use it as long as possible. Therefore, this care will ensure many years of service and proper appearance.
I wash my shower glass no more than once every 2 weeks. I have frosted glass. It looks clean.
