Proper Boiler Installation

Defining the place
Installation of the storage water heater must comply with the rules and regulations of the product passport. Thus, it is necessary that the device has constant access for maintenance and operation, as well as for repair and installation. In the passport of the equipment is usually specified the minimum distance to, for example, doorways and windows.
Before carrying out work it is necessary to make a visual inspection of the water pipes, as often they are faulty for various reasons, and the tapping from this can not be done. In such cases, it is necessary to replace the pipes with new ones.

Accumulation water heater in most cases installed on the wall, so first of all you need to pay attention to the strength of the wall itself. The load that will fall on the surface of the wall after the installation of the device, should not greatly affect its strength. A wall made of gypsum board will not be suitable for this in any case. Thus, choose a concrete or brick wall and calculate so that the wall can withstand the load of twice the weight of the boiler itself.

Also an important detail in the installation of the storage water heater is the electrical wiring. If it is faulty or the wire cross-section is less than 2.5 mm, such wiring must not be used. The boiler uses a large amount of electricity, the load will increase dramatically, which can lead to an overload of the power supply. And this is fraught with power outages.
Necessary materials
In order to perform the installation of the storage water heater without any special problems, you need to prepare implements. You need such tools for work as: a hammer, tape measure, pliers, wrench and adjustable wrench, FUM tape, stop valve, screwdrivers, connecting hoses (check, perhaps they are already included with the water heater), metal-plastic pipes (the dimensions depend on the connection and connecting dimensions).

Stages of work
Connecting to the water supply
This is the most difficult stage of connecting the boiler. If you were sold a connecting hose along with the storage water heater, it is great. Because it will not have to be additionally sealed then. It will be enough to connect the cold water intake to the connection point of the boiler. There is one nuance here. With the sold boiler, look for the water flow relief valve. It may not be present, then it should be purchased from the store. It will need to be adapted at the cold water intake point.
There may not be a water intake point. Then the only option is to install it. The time spent on this depends on what the pipes are made of. If it is metal-plastic, then the case will go faster. Well, if metal, then you know ... Next, you need to make a thread, do not forget to sealant and install a tee with a faucet.
After that, you need to connect a hose to the hot water faucet and the outlet from the storage water heater.
The next step will be to check for leaks. To do this, let the air out and open all the taps. We look at the joints and hose connections. If you find a leak, use sealant to prevent it.

Connecting to the power grid
Here everything is simple. We connect the storage water heater with a socket or auto switch to the mains and if successful, we see how the indicator on the boiler will light up. We adjust the temperature. Now the boiler is ready for operation.

Installation tips
- When installing the storage water heater, you need to consider the width and height of the wall surface and the ledge itself at the boiler. Choose the right fasteners to fix the storage water heater on the wall: pay attention to the material.
- Orient the appliance correctly. Do not change the orientation of the water heater. If it is horizontal, then it must be installed in a horizontal position, if vertical - in an upright position.
- When connecting to the water supply, you can use copper pipes with a braid of plastic. This is more reliable and aesthetic.
- Connect the boiler with a full tank. If this is not done, the unit could easily break down.
- Use one device per cable. It is not recommended to overload the mains with anything else. It is forbidden to connect the water heater directly to the dispenser.
- It is desirable not to let the water drain when the storage water heater is idle.

If suddenly you decide not to install the boiler yourself and trust the professionals, then you know that the installation work includes: installation, sealing, connection to the mains and plumbing, installation of the valve and a safety briefing. Work such as installing a tee, fuse box, taps and valves, and cabling are extra work and are charged separately depending on the price list.
