Wall mounted boilers

Water heater - a thing extremely convenient even for those who face the absence of hot water in the pipes very rarely. Therefore, such devices are often installed not only in country houses, but also in apartments - in order not to depend on unexpected preventive work on the water supply network.

On sale there are many different types of boilers, which differ in several parameters. About the different types of wall-mounted water heaters and the peculiarities of choosing this type of device we will tell you in today's article.

For most of us, the most familiar are boilers that are mounted on the wall.

Types
Wall-mounted boilers differ from each other, first of all, by the way of heating, which depends on the type of energy used. There are two varieties:
- Gas-powered water heaters;
- Water heaters that run on electricity.
Read more about each of them below.

Gas
It is known that gas is a cheaper source of energy than electricity, therefore, gas boilers are more profitable in terms of financial costs. But in order to be able to install such an appliance, you need a connection to the gas pipeline. Therefore, gas water heaters are more common in private homes than in city apartments.

Among the disadvantages of this type of boilers should be noted the complexity of installation and the need for an exhaust ventilation system. The best option for use in such conditions - it is flow-through gas water heaters, which are also called "gas heaters".

Electric
This type of household boilers is more common, as they can be used almost anywhere. But here, too, there are nuances. For example, with a device of small capacity, there will be no difficulties. However, if the capacity of the water heater is more than 5 kW, you will need to equip a separate wiring, equipped with a fuse. The advantages of electric boilers include ease of installation and operation.

In addition to conventional water heaters running on electricity, there are devices of the indirect type. They also belong to the electric appliances, but the water is not heated by electricity or gas. These are storage boilers that use water preheated in the heating boiler.

Combined
It is impossible not to mention another type of wall-mounted boilers, which is not so frequent, but still encountered - devices of the combined type. They combine the principles of action of electric and indirect water heaters.
The device of this type of boilers is quite simple: a sealed casing with a tank, through which the coil and a tubular heating element, working on electricity. Water from the heating boiler through the coil enters the tank, where it is heated by a heating element.

Such a boiler is a versatile device that can provide both direct and indirect water heating, depending on the time of year. Such devices can operate from both gas and electric power.

Tips for choice
The method of water heating is one of the key, but by no means the only criterion for choosing a boiler. Such parameters as tank volume, shape, type of device, as well as power and maximum values (heating time, temperature, etc.) should be considered.

If possible, buy a water heater from reliable, trusted manufacturers. The greatest number of positive reviews have products from firms Hotpoint Ariston, Electrolux, Thermex, Gorenje, Atlantic.
