All about different styles of baths

It is very important for any owner of a country or city site to know everything about baths in different styles. There are different directions: fachwerk and loft, high-tech and "leshy", as well as many other options. But it does not matter whether a person chooses projects of stylish Russian saunas in the style of Provence or minimalism or any other type - it should be done consciously, taking into account the maximum number of subtleties and nuances.

Modern solutions
Quite in demand are constructions in the style of art nouveau. This approach implies the use of:
- curved lines;
- abstract decorative plots;
- juicy expressive colors;
- non-standard visual decorations.

Fachwerk
Bathhouse projects in the style of half-timbered buildings are quite common. This is a traditional German approach, not without reason that its alternative name is "German wall". The main feature - fully open execution of the supporting beams. They are not deliberately hidden behind cladding and finishing, because in this way a maximum expression of color is achieved. There are two variants: in one - the wooden frame is filled from the inside with elements of brickwork, in the other - single-color plaster is used as cladding (then the wooden elements become purely decorative).

In the modern version of the half-timbered house there is nothing to restrain the choice of color scheme. The brightest colors and tones are available. However, it is important to understand that this immediately destroys the original atmosphere, the unique spirit of this environment, for which they are valued. There is no need to expand the upper floors.
There are much more productive and rational ways to protect against precipitation.

Also, the classic spirit of the half-timbered house is effectively conveyed by:
- An abundance of windows;
- the use of a mansard roof;
- the emphasis of the whole building upwards;
- turrets.

High-tech
For lovers of modern stylish saunas it is logical to pay attention to this style. This solution always focuses people on laconic and beautiful design. Elegance must be traced necessarily, but any overload is not welcome. The more open spaces, the better. The hi-tech environment is perfectly realized with straight (as if "chopped") lines and pronounced angles.

The main structural materials will be stone, metal and wood. But among these three, the stone is given the smallest role. If you can do without it in the visual finishing, that's exactly what should be done. High-tech style is appropriate in any bath, regardless of its size. Especially convincing its benefits are revealed in a small area.

Important features of this style are:
- the use of large panoramic windows;
- refusal of noticeable decor;
- Veneering the windows with mirror film (which increases the privacy of being inside);
- absence of anything that disturbs the harmony and concentration.

Chalet
The approach to design, characteristic of the Alpine shepherds of the past, continues to attract people today. Even the existence of more modern and adequate designs does not diminish the popularity of the chalet style. It really is a unique solution that allows you to stand out from the crowd. The plinth of the bath in this style is erected necessarily from natural stone. The walls are made of logs; they should be decorated with a minimum of finishing, and sometimes even without finishing.

The interior decoration is done with wooden battens or beams. Important: Despite the old-fashioned style, the chalet can not look cheap. Rather, on the contrary, it necessarily creates the impression of elegance and luxury. Even in the most limited space, it is important to create a full-fledged complex that would please people with its appearance.
The ideal filling for a chalet-style bathhouse is to use a fireplace stove.

Minimalism
Both the overall design and the finishes in this variant fully live up to the name. Everything is minimized and optimized in the most radical way. People refuse to use pretentious decor. And here the emphasized dryness, which is characteristic of this style, on the contrary, can become a kind of "highlight" of the filling. Special decorations are inadmissible to use - they become only an obstacle to the realization of the idea.

A common misconception is that minimalism is boring and pale. In fact, these shortcomings are peculiar only to inept embodiments of it. With a well thought out concept and painstaking work it is possible to create an enchanting, delighting the imagination of the bath. Moreover, the absence of extraneous objects has its own advantage: you can calm down and concentrate, which is very difficult to do in the hectic rhythm of modern life. Such style is very appropriate in bathhouses-boxes and bath-yurts.

Loft
Loft interior for the bath and for the house has, of course, common features. This style is the choice of strong, confident and advanced people. It is mainly chosen by those who are not afraid of radical experiments. Often there is a combination of brick (as if "unfinished") wall with an emphasized rough wooden wall. Can also be used looking strictly, having no superfluous details of the furnace with a soft harmonious furnishings.

Baths in the spirit of loft built mainly from laminated veneer lumber. Less often other types of wood are used. Stone construction materials should not be used. Separate attention deserves the choice of curtains in the loft style. The main criteria:
- maximum use of natural transparent fabrics;
- the rejection of bulky draperies and folds - only the clarity and flatness of the curtains;
- the predominance of beige, white, gray and other pastel colors;
- correspondence of the used prints to the general stylistics.

Roller blinds will fit into the loft as organically as possible. They are especially well combined with brickwork. To add visual coziness, the use of "Roman" curtains helps. In the presence of a metal curtain rod, you can also use tulle (curtains).
The formation of an emphasized minimalist environment and effective protection from the sun can be achieved with the help of blinds.

Provence
In European design, the style of Provence, also known as country style, is characterized by a very large popularity. The reason is simple and clear - this approach guarantees a harmonious and cozy space. It will naturally be in demand among the adherents of everything French, as well as among those inspired by the romance of the Mediterranean. Typical features:
- Antique (or imitation antique) wood furniture in discreet white shades;
- Decorating the walls with white and other light-colored wallpaper;
- hanging monochrome curtains made of linen or chintz (the predominant texture - flowers or small cells).

It is necessary to remember about the other nuances:
- mandatory light flooring;
- floral ornaments;
- local use of lace, embroidery and ruffles;
- Decorating the space with the help of forged elements.

Russian style
It is this approach that is most appropriate, of course, in a rustic house. There other original extravagances, on the contrary, are contraindicated. In idea, should have put the Russian style on a more honorable place. It corresponds much better to the idea of a harmonious and comfortable bath than other solutions. It is not necessary, of course, to create a traditional building in the full sense, especially with the "black" heating.

The Russian spirit is maintained by other means:
- The use of logs (less often logs);
- By arranging the porch - preferably with a canopy;
- Small windows;
- The use of colored stained-glass windows;
- A gable roof.

Wooden log cabins look reliable, add solidity and even introduce a touch of chic. With the help of carvings you can additionally decorate the building. Since the inside is supposed to be decorated with wooden elements, the processing of log or beam walls is not required. It is also worth putting inside:
- wooden furniture (simple looking, but with carvings);
- homespun carpets and mats;
- buckets, buckets;
- glass shower stalls;
- discreet sauna stoves.

Non-standard ideas
Some connoisseurs of unusual design are delighted with the "woodsman" style - and for good reason. The walls and ceiling in this variant are usually finished with linden unedged boards. The shelves are made of half-timbered linden. Other types of wood are not suitable for this element in any way! When thinking about a specific interior, you should strive to make it visually complete.

It is also possible to show originality in another way - simply by using the oriental coloring.
This version uses bright and juicy colors. Textiles should have a lush look. The use of emphasized exotic design elements and unique furniture is recommended. Exemplary Turkish hammam necessarily decorated with mosaics.

Of course, this solution is more expensive than the traditional wooden finish. However, and appearance will be much more chic. Local elements of the oriental style (in a less radical way) - a juicy mosaic and exotic ornaments on the tiles in the shower area and in the pool. Some people equip full-fledged hookah rooms with bright curtains, squat tables and bright cushions. This solution is characterized by external beauty, cheapness and originality at the same time.

Arranging a classic sauna, it is much more correct to use the Scandinavian style. Its characteristic features are visual simplicity and accentuated external roughness. Not only wood can be used, but also more technological materials. Scandinavian format is suitable for both wooden and brick buildings. It is advisable to plaster and paint the walls in neutral colors.

Lovers of the real exoticism should pay attention to the bath "ofuro". The Japanese approach is expressed through:
- large fans (they are simply hung on the wall);
- bamboo screens;
- natural colors;
- tatami;
- low tables;
- thematic pictures, ornaments.

Choosing Tips
Important: mixing heterogeneous styles or even just a combination is not allowed. This is the prerogative of professional designers. It is necessary to clearly choose a suitable format and stick to it from start to finish. For the steam zone is to choose options with a minimum amount of decor. But it is possible to use different colors or mosaic elements.

Russian style is most appropriate for those who are trying to save money and achieve the external beauty of the room. It is also attractive for connoisseurs of natural materials. Country style will suit those who want to achieve visual simplicity. It is recommended to those who like ceramics and textile finishes.
The Scandinavian approach is attractive with its strictness and refinement of forms, with a classic look, and this is what the priorities should be.

In addition to style, it is necessary to choose carefully and the materials:
- For steam rooms, only those types of wood that do not heat up are suitable;
- From fiberboard and particleboard is better to give up altogether;
- Linoleum, laminate also has no place in the bath;
- In any style of vestibule can be put furniture made of rattan;
- To diversify the interior helps to use the original arched ceilings;
- The floor in the rest room is appropriate to cover with tile.

Beautiful examples
This photo shows an elegant bathhouse in the style of half-timbered. It also has a modern twist to it. The roof, protruding forward (like a canopy), looks very original.

Lovers of Russian traditional style can take as an example this example. The use of untrimmed logs and other emphasized natural materials makes a favorable impression.

And this is an example of the realization of the style of high-tech in the bath with:
- a rough stone wall;
- spotlights placed on one level;
- the carefully placed linings;
- lack of other trim.
