All about quadrobanya

Quadrobanya - a functional structure of the original shape, actively used in the arrangement of modern homestead plots. This construction, unlike an ordinary bath with a gable roof, has more compact dimensions and a modern appearance. What are the features of the quadrotubes? What are they like? How to choose and how to use the construction of this type?

Features

Visually, the quad-bath resembles an elongated carriage with several small rectangular windows. This structure has a great resemblance to a barrel bath, which has a cylindrical shape.

A distinctive feature of the configuration of the quadrobanya are rounded, smooth corners.

Such buildings are often assembled of tongue and groove boards or beams treated with special moisture-resistant, antibacterial and fire-resistant impregnation. The interior decoration is made of moisture-resistant and heat-resistant wood - larch, spruce, linden and aspen. As a roofing coating modern manufacturers usually use durable flexible tiles.

The absence of right angles in the design of the quad-bath creates fast and even heating of the air inside the steam room. In addition, the round shape promotes continuous circulation of air around the building, which prevents dehydration and rotting of wood.

Like any frame construction, the quadropanel has a relatively low weight. This feature allows you to use as a support for the construction of an inexpensive post foundation or slipway (a special platform). In addition, the relative lightness of the quadrobanya allows you to move it, if necessary, from one place on the estate to another.

For heating structures are usually used ready-made imported and domestic wood-burning stoves of compact size. Their power allows them to heat up the air in the steam room to 90-100 ° C for only 0.5-1 hours. Contributes to the rapid heating of the air and the non-standard configuration of the interior rooms.

According to experts, quadrobani and steam baths are optimally suited for homestead plots with light, loose, mobile soils.

Installation of such structures does not require prior construction of a massive foundation, which greatly reduces the cost and simplifies the entire process of improving the territory.

What are they like?

Depending on the configuration of the bath and the peculiarities of the location of its functional parts, you can allocate models with an angular-round shape (quadroval or quadroellipse) have:

  • end sides;
  • sides.

Baths with a profile in the form of a quadrooval look more angular in contrast to the structures with a profile in the form of a quadroellipse. The width of baths-quadroovalov slightly exceeds the height, which gives them a very compact look. Quadroellipse baths, on the other hand, are wider and more squat.

The layout of a standard quadro bath can have one, two or three sections. One-section models have only the steam room. They do not have a pre-bath (changing room) and washing room. The minimum length of such baths is about 2 meters.

Two-section models usually include a pre-bath and a steam room. On average, the length of such baths can vary from 4 to 5 meters, width - from 2 to 2.5 meters.

The layout of models with three sections usually includes a pre-bath, a steam room and a washing room (shower). The length of the three-section model can vary from 6 to 8 meters. The capacity of such structures is usually designed for 7-8 people.

Some models may include in their layout additional fourth section. Usually this room performs the function of a recreation room.

How to choose?

When choosing a quadrobanya, you need to be guided by some rules.

  • The area of your garden plot should be taken into account. For small household plots, the optimal solution will be the models of one- and two-section baths, whose length varies between 2-4 meters. Three-section baths are best suited for plots with a large area, not burdened with numerous green spaces and outbuildings.
  • When planning to buy a small, compact square bath for the homestead, it should be borne in mind that the models equipped with a pre-bath, characterized by lower heat loss.

Pre-bath in such designs plays the role of air cushion, providing additional insulation.

  • Choosing a suitable model quadrobani, you should pay attention to the study of its technical and operational characteristics. Of great importance is the type of material from which the favorite design. The most durable and expensive are considered baths, made of larch and cedar.

These types of wood are resistant to moisture, high and low temperatures. Fragrant resins and essential oils contained in such wood repel insect pests.

  • If you buy a quadroboard that is already complete and ready for transportation, pay attention to the quality of its assembly. It is necessary to pay attention to the quality of its assembly. The least reliable is assembly with self-tapping screws, which damages the functional parts of the structure.

Structures assembled this way are short-lived and more prone to early destruction.

  • The assembly technologies called "tongue-and-groove" and "Finnish tongue-and-groove" are considered to be more reliable. Fixation of the elements of the structure in this case is not performed by self-tapping, and self-adjusting ties with stainless steel spring locks.
  • Experts recommend giving preference to models of quadrobans, equipped with a canopy (awning). This functional detail should be an "extension" of the roof, not a separate element.

The presence of a large number of seams and joints in the roof is one of the factors that increase the amount of heat loss during bathing procedures.

  • If you buy an already assembled quadro-ban, you should carefully inspect the inside of the quadro-ban. A large amount of decoration (trim, edging, overlays) may indirectly indicate the seller's attempt to mask the poor quality of the wood and errors in the assembly of the construction.

How to use?

One of the important moments of pre-operational preparation of the quadrobani is its proper installation on the garden plot. This structure should be installed only on a level and solid base. It is important to consider that during the operation of the bath, installed on the shaky and movable soil in the construction of the structure may be deformed and warping. Their appearance, in turn, can lead to reduced water drainage, uneven distribution of loads on the elements of the framework and, consequently, the rapid failure of the structure.

To prolong the life of the quadrotubes, it is necessary to conscientiously observe the rules of its operation. So, after the bathing procedures it is necessary to dry the steam room. To do this, it is recommended to slightly heat the steam room, and then air it out. Excess water left on the floor and shelves after bathing should preferably be blotted with clean and dry rags.

Cluttered rooms quadrobanya and constant dampness can cause mold and rot. For this reason it is necessary to keep both the anteroom and the steam room clean and tidy. All damp clothes and wet shower accessories should be thoroughly dried in the sun after visiting the sauna.

The chimney must be monitored throughout the operation of the quad-bath. It should be cleaned at least once every 2-3 months.

Twice a year the internal surfaces of the structure should be treated with special compounds. Linseed oil is the most affordable and safe means of preserving the original appearance of wooden surfaces in the steam room, washing room and pre-bath.

Proper use of the quad-bath also provides for compliance with all regulations for its operation. Thus, it is strictly forbidden to exceed the number of people recommended for simultaneous attendance at the facility. Neglecting this rule may not only cause a breakdown quadrobani, but also the emergence of dangerous situations that pose a threat to the bathers themselves.

In rainy and wet seasons (spring or autumn) it is recommended to slightly loosen the steel ties. Loosen them so that the distance from the bottom point of the bathing surface to the tie rod is at least 3 centimeters.

This measure will prevent damage to the structure due to the swelling of wood under the influence of moisture.
